KIFASI REPLACES AJI AS HEAD OF SERVICE OF THE FEDERATION

Mr. Danladi Kifasi
President Goodluck Jonathan has appointed Mr. Danladi Kifasi as the new Head of Civil Service of the Federation.

Information Minister Labaran Maku told State House correspondents yesterday that the president announced the appointment during the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.
Kilfasi will take over from
Alhaji Bukar Goni Aji, who is due to retire on Monday, having spent 35 years in service.
The new head of service was, until yesterday, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources.
Kifasi, who hails from Taraba State, was born on January 1, 1956.
He attended the Kaduna Polytechnic where he obtained a diploma certificate in Accountancy in 1976.
He also obtained his ACA (ICAN-NIGERIA) in September 1997 before proceeding to study for ACCA at the London School of Accountancy, West Browich Collage of Technology and Trent Polytechnic (now Trent University), Nottingham, England. Kifasi also studied Law at the University of Abuja, in 2008 and later attended the Nigerian Law School for his Barrister at Law Certificate.
He began his working career with the Ahmadu Bello University in the Bursary Department from 1976-1977.
From 1983-1999, he worked with the Jos International Brewery Ltd.
On August 21, 1990, Kifasi joined the service of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources as Assistant Director (Accounts).
In September 1999, he was deployed to the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation as Deputy Director (Accounts).
In January, 2001 he was promoted Director and posted to the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation.
In 2008, Kifasi proceeded to the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Jos. On his return, he was posted to the Federal Ministry of Power as Director of Finance and Accounts. He was appointed Permanent Secretary in March 2009.
He was redeployed to the Ministry of Petroleum Resources on July 17, 2013.
