A lion escaped from the Owerri Zoo in unknown
destination in the state capital.
In a statement released by the Imo State police
command, the animal escaped on Monday night
from where it was kept.
The release advised the public to be very careful
on how they move, saying the command and the
zoo management were doing its best to track the
escaped lion.
The zoo is located along Old Nekede Road
Owerri.
