This story comes shocking cause it springs up a new issue between the Saudi Arabian government and the Kano state government; While speaking on behalf of the Governor (Rabiu Kwankwaso), the public relation officer, Engr. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso for the Governor of Kano state declares the alarming state as beggars now flood the state of Kano and investigations showed that majority of the beggars in Kano are not Nigerians and most of them were deported from Saudi Arabia.
This report is coming at a time where Lagos state is also deporting individuals found not to be Lagosians to their locations; the first deportation already made to Onitsha as the Government of Lagos is willing to eradicate homeless people who found their way to Lagos for greener pastures, with some Governors not supporting the deportation other embrace it.
Lagos state is planning another set of deportation of individuals to the North.
We wait to see how Kano Government will resolve the issue with Saudi Arabia and hopefully the Federal Government will get involved to resolve the unlawful deportation of every black person(s) found in begging in Saudi Arabia assuming that they are Nigerians. This is very embarrassing and unavoidably spiteful to Nigerians as been tagged and seen as beggars in their country.
